The short version: Learn Imagine stores what it needs to teach and to show a family what their child has learned, children never have accounts, we never sell data, and a parent can erase any child's record in one click. Learn Imagine is operated by LightlySweetened LLC (Sunnyvale, California).

What we store

The topics and goals you type, the lessons generated for you, your answers and reflections, whiteboard drawings, course plans, a mastery record of the concepts you practice, and streak and activity dates. This is the substance of the product — your progress is this data. For adults with an account we also hold the email address you signed in with and, if you subscribe, a link to your Stripe customer record.

Children's privacy

Learn Imagine is directed to parents and other adults. Children never create accounts and never sign in. A parent creates a child profile, and for that profile we store only a nickname, an optional grade level, a timezone, and the learning record itself (lessons, answers, whiteboard work, mastery and activity dates). We do not collect a child's name, email address, birthday, photo, or location, and we show children no advertising. A parent can permanently delete any child's profile and its entire record from the Family page at any time; deletion is immediate and has no undo. Ad measurement is held back while a child profile is active on this browser (see cookies below).

A parent's right to say stop

You may refuse further collection of your child's information at any time and keep using Learn Imagine yourself. Deleting the child's profile (Family page, one click) stops recording for that profile and erases what was collected, and the rest of your account is unaffected. You can also email support@learnimagine.com and we will stop further collection for a named profile while leaving your account working.

Cookies

We set functional cookies to remember who is learning, and two third parties set cookies on the pages where they operate:

CookiePurposeSet by
li_deviceA random identifier that ties learning progress to this browser so an anonymous first lesson is saved. One year. Not used for advertising, not shared.Learn Imagine
li_profile · li_kidWhich family profile is active on this browser (li_profile is unreadable by scripts; li_kid is a yes/no hint that a child profile is on, used only to keep ad measurement off). One year. Set only after a parent switches learners.Learn Imagine
li_linkedA yes marker that this browser has been used by an account, so after sign-out the anonymous identifier is replaced with a fresh one and the signed-out browser can no longer reach the account's record. httpOnly. One year.Learn Imagine
Clerk sign-in cookies (__session, __client_uat, …)Keep a parent signed in and protect the sign-in flow. Set only for adults who create an account; children never sign in.Clerk (our sign-in provider)
Google Ads measurement cookies (_gcl_*, and related)Count whether an ad led to something useful, such as a lesson being started. Set by Google's measurement tag, which loads on our marketing and parent pages but is held back while a child profile is active on the browser. In the EEA and UK the tag starts with ad storage denied.Google
Stripe cookiesFraud prevention and session handling on Stripe's checkout and subscription-management pages, which are hosted by Stripe.Stripe (our payment processor)

Clearing li_device disconnects this browser from anonymous progress; a signed-in parent's progress follows their account instead.

AI processing

Lessons are generated live by AI. The learning content a learner enters — topics, answers, whiteboard work, and a snapshot of the board when they ask the tutor to look at it — is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate lessons and feedback, subject to Anthropic's data-handling terms. We do not send names or email addresses with that content.

Analytics & ad measurement

We use Vercel's cookie-free web analytics to understand aggregate usage: page paths and counts of events such as "a lesson was started", never the text a learner typed or any lesson content. Because we advertise, Google's measurement tag also loads on our marketing pages and on signed-in parent pages for every visitor there, so we can count when an ad led to a started lesson, a new account, or a subscription. Those pings carry counts, never learning content. The tag is held back while a child profile is active on the browser — a signal this device sets when a parent switches learners — but it is a device-level signal, not a login: anyone using the site without signing in, a child included, may be measured like any other visitor to a marketing page. We do not send Google anyone's name, email address, or lesson content, and we do not use Google's features that match ad views to a particular signed-in person. In the EEA and UK it starts with ad storage denied. We never sell data and never share what anyone learns with advertisers.

Who processes data

  • Anthropic — Generates lessons and feedback from the topics, answers, and whiteboard work a learner enters.
  • Clerk — Parent sign-in and account security.
  • Stripe — Payments and subscription management. We never see full card numbers.
  • Neon — Hosts our database, where learning records live.
  • Vercel — Hosts the site and provides cookie-free, aggregate web analytics and speed measurements (how fast pages load).
  • Google — Ad measurement on marketing and parent pages (counts only; see below).

Erasing your data

Any child's profile and full record: the Family page, one click, permanent. Your own learning record (sessions, courses, mastery record, streaks): the dashboard has a reset control. To close an account entirely, email us and we will delete the account and every profile under it.

How long we keep data

Learning records are kept for as long as the account or profile exists — this data is the product, and there is no other use for it. Deleting a child profile permanently deletes the profile and everything under it: lessons, answers, whiteboard work, course plans, the mastery record, streaks, activity dates, and usage counters. Closing an account deletes the account and every profile under it. Nothing of a deleted profile's learning record is kept after deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the date above always shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect, and by email to account holders where we hold an address.
