Questions & answers
Questions parents ask
Does my child need an account?
No. Kids are profiles under your account — you create them, you can delete them, and they never sign in. A profile stores a nickname, an optional grade, and the learning record itself. No child emails, birthdays, or photos.
Is it actually free?
Practice lessons are free forever — no hearts, no energy, and no lesson limits at any realistic pace — and the first lesson needs no account at all. A free account adds a 7-day all-access trial of everything, no card needed. Plus ($10/month, or $96/year) keeps the premium bundle after the trial: the whiteboard tutor, full-year course plans, memory check-ups, and profiles for up to 6 kids — one subscription for the whole family.
How do I know it's working?
Learn Imagine measures what sticks, not screen time: after a few weeks of practice, the dashboard shows what your child still knows — scored by when and how well they answered, not by time on screen. The Family view puts every kid's progress, streaks, and what's due for review side by side, and you can read every word of any session, whiteboard lessons included.
Is this a full curriculum?
You can start from a single topic, or have the AI design a full-year course sequenced into units and follow it module by module. Every lesson is generated live for your child — the pace adapts to what they've actually shown they know, and review comes back before forgetting wins. We teach the material thoroughly; we don't certify state-standards compliance.
Can I use this for my state's record-keeping or portfolio?
Every plan — including Free — comes with a printable per-child progress report: an attendance table with each practice day's time in and time out, a session log, concepts grouped by how solid they are, and progress over 2-, 4-, 8- or 12-week windows. Print it or save it as a PDF from the Family view. Many homeschool families file it as part of their portfolio or attendance records, though check your state's specific requirements — we document the learning; we don't certify standards compliance.
What ages and subjects does it cover?
Anything you can type. Structured homeschool paths cover kindergarten through 8th grade in math, science, and language arts, plus history, Spanish, and coding — and freeform mode teaches any topic at any level, from phonics through high-school math to linear algebra. Full-year plans for math K–8 follow hand-built outlines; for other subjects the AI designs the year from a grade-level outline.
What is the whiteboard?
For visual topics the tutor opens a shared whiteboard: it draws shapes, number lines, and diagrams while explaining one idea at a time — and can read its explanation aloud — then hands your child the pen. The AI can never erase a learner's work, and every turn ends by handing control back.
Does watching lessons count as progress?
No — and that's deliberate. Watching an explanation moves nothing. Only what your child demonstrates — answers, teach-backs, quick checks — moves their record, and a concept only shows as solid after they've proven it more than once, recently.
What happens if my child gets an answer wrong?
They get real feedback: what went wrong, why that answer was tempting, and what to try next — never bare praise, never a wall of red. The tutor also adjusts course, trying a different explanation instead of repeating the one that didn't land.
Can I see what my child actually did?
Yes, every word. The Family view lists each kid's sessions; open one and you get the full transcript — each step, their answers, and any whiteboard lesson, including what the tutor drew and said. Nothing your child does is hidden from you.
Will my kid see prices, ads, or upgrade prompts?
No. With a child profile active there are no prices, no checkout, no ads, and no billing chrome anywhere. If something isn't included on your plan, your kid simply sees “ask a parent” — everything else keeps working.
Can I cancel Plus anytime?
Yes — self-service from Manage Plus, effective at the end of the paid period. Afterward, practice lessons, the dashboard, and streaks keep working free forever; the premium bundle (whiteboard tutor, course plans, extra kid profiles, memory check-ups) waits until you resubscribe.
How do you handle my family's data?
Child profiles store a nickname, optional grade, timezone, and the learning record itself — no child emails, birthdays, or photos, and children never sign in. You can permanently delete any child's profile, or clear your own learning data, yourself. We never sell data. Details in the privacy policy.
